Have I lost my mind?

My husband is not a golf guy. He doesn't hunt or fish. He doesn't play sports. Truly... he works all day, then comes home and spends time with us.

I will say though, that my husband is a car guy. He loves cars. He restored a 1965 Mustang fast-back in his late teens. He only recently sold it about 3 years ago. In the years that we have been married, he has bought me a super-fun sporty cars like my Nissan 240 SX and a stylin' BMW 328! Now... I drive a mom-mobile a.k.a. mini-van.

Since purchasing the mini-van, he has not had a fun car to drive. He drives a truck and I have the mini-van.

So, why was I surprised when he caught the car bug recently and decided he needed another sports car?

On Saturday, he went out looking for a super-fast car. This is what he came home with.

BMW M3 Roadster

Let me just say, the BMW M3 Roadster is one of the fastest, most powerful cars on the road. It is a "Boxster Beater", according to Randy. It is a convertible. It is a 2-seater. Ahem... we have 2 kids?!

As you can imagine I was (and still not) thrilled with his decision. But, as long as I don't have to drive it and as long as the kids don't go anywhere with him, I'm okay with it. Of course, perhaps maybe that was his plan afterall? A wife and kid repellent? Hmmmm, I'll have to keep my eye on him for sure now!

  3. Nice Car, 2 seater, huh?...he and Fred will have to get together and talk cars. Fred has a '66 Mustang Fastback that he restored and has had since he was in high school...it is still in our garage, definitely his 1st baby :o) And, it does not have a back seat either, at least not one that can be used to sit in. Funny, though, he has a minivan for his work car and has tried to talk me into getting one also.

  4. So much for my impression of him as cheap, he is just selective with his money!

  5. Well he's a bit young for that car IMHO. Normally when guys can afford a car like that (at least in Europe)they are quite safe - because they have NO idea what to do with the chicks they might pick up. BUT in your case - I would be worried - cause he just MIGHT remember... LOL
Nice set of wheels for sure - do you call him Mr. Bond now ???

  6. So I guess you aren't moving to the north cuz it is too cold and snowy for a car like that! ;)

That car is HOT. But you'd better remind him that cars don't love you back. Ha!
