Finally, a change!

Kyla woke up Sunday morning and in a very excited voice exclaimed, "Mommy, I see sunshine in my room!"

Yes, on the morning the time changed back, my four year old expressed my sentiments exactly. Finally! The time has changed back!

Hopefully, my morning crankiness will go away now. Of course, there is nothing a strong cup of coffee can't cure.

Stuff heard 'round the house!

The other day at dinner, I asked Elisan who she played with at school. She said that she played with the boys again.

So, I asked her, "Why aren't you playing with the girls?"

She said, "I do, a little. Today, I played with the boys, then I went to hang with the girls, but, then I went back and played some more with the boys."

I look up and see Randy snickering and after regaining composure, he says, "Hey, Elisan... what does 'hang with the girls' mean?"

(Because, seriously I don't remember "Slang" as being one of her classes in first grade.)

She rolled her eyes and said, "You know... on the monkey bars?"

Elisan, "Kyla..."
Kyla remains silent.

Elisan, "Ky-la!"
Kyla remains silent.

Elisan, "Mom! Kyla won't answer me."
Me, "What do you mean?"

Elisan, "Well, I'm trying to tell her what to do and she won't listen to me!"
Me, "Hmmm."
