I'm stumped! Help a girl out...

I'm scheduled to give a "mentor mom" devotional next week for MOPS and I'm stumped as to what to talk about. I've been praying that God give me some kind of nugget that I can talk about for 10 minutes, but I don't want to be too preachy. I'd like to stay on the practical side of things, but of course, tie it all up with a biblical truth. I want to appeal to the masses, but wonder what I could talk about that would do just that?

So, my question is this... if you were sitting in MOPS and were about to hear a devotional from a mentor mom, what would you rather hear something about:

  • an anecdote on raising kids
  • healthy marriages
  • friendships with other women
  • living contented
  • practical knowledge on spending money
Your comments are appreciated!

5 of you are mildly amused:

  1. At the moment - cutting myself some slack on not getting that Mother of the Year award this year but holding on to all this stuff paying off when my kid is grown with kids of her own. Whatever you share will be exactly what one of those hearts needed. XOXOX

  2. You are putting too much pressure on yourself- I think what you are best at is letting your girls be little and keeping their hearts and minds in line with their age. I bet lots of Moms will need help with that transition soon.

  3. I think you may need to speak more than once -- those are all great ideas! Love the living contented idea as I see so many mom friends struggling with that...as we all do!

  4. I like the last one coming from you, but how about something to do with fitness. Things they can do with their kids or how to get started back on the fitness track.

  5. My choice would be living contented. However they are all great topics.
